Used my Inventables Xcarve CNC machine to carve and paint a sign for a local business, Shaggy Tails Pet Salon. They provided the logo and information and i turned it into a file using Vcarve and Easel that my Xcarve could cut. Used 3/4” plywood to make the sign and painted it with an exterior grade paint to resist the wind and rain and weather. This was the first project i used OraMask 813 and it was fantastic. The result is a beautiful sign that will ensure everyone notices their business. Also built the posts for the sign to hang from. pressure treated 4×4’s were wrapped in reclaimed barn wood to get a rough look while holding up to the weather.

Check out the build video here

Hi Jeff -

Nice sign – I watched your video of the build. It was very helpful, I’ve been wanting to try the Oramask so I was glad to see how you used it. I have an x carve too, I just happened to post a project and saw your post of the Shaggy Tails sign. Thanks for posting & I subscribed to your YouTube channel.
