I’m relatively new to LJ, just discovered the projects section so I’ll post up a few of my favorites.
I built these for myself, they drove me to buy a riser block for my bandsaw! I started with rough cut 2×10, what I actually resawed after trimming was right at 8”
I cut from each side on the tablesaw as deep as it would go then finished with a hand saw. Lots of sweat in these! The outer strips make up the rest of the 24” width I needed, they’re bookmatched too but the effect is somewhat lost since they’re separated by the wide panels.
I got an opportunity to show them off at a local event called Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival, at Pebble Hill Plantation here in Thomasville GA, that’s where the glamor shot was taken :-)
I hope you all enjoy the pictures – if you’re down my way stop by for a cold drink and we’ll throw a game on them
Thanks for looking!
Grant
