this was fun, segmented vessel,turned in two pieces then turned again. carved the maple leaf in a curve and then attached

Very very pretty. That leaf looks like an oak leaf to me-not a maple?

Are you saying that the leaf is made from Maple or it is supposed to be a Maple leaf ?
It sort of resembles an upside down White Oak leaf .
Nice Wenge vessel…I’ll bet it was hard to turn !!
