Oreo box

This Oreo pattern is not original with me. However the idea of making it a box was something that intrigued me. On a CNC website I saw a cut pattern for an Oreo cookie that someone had glued up. The detail in the cookie was amazing so I thought I would give it a try on my small machine and make it a box. Using oak veneered MDF I cut out the engraved top and bottom the set about doing the cream center. The top is hinged (to slide apart) with a dowel as the curved surface was not conducive to using a standard hinge. The cookie is about 6 inches in diameter. Fun project and I have gotten a lot of laughs when I ask for milk to go with my cookie.

Sorry for the poor quality in the photos of the detail, but the black coloring of the cookie did not lend itself to being easily photographed.

That is way too cool. That could be a grease box which would make you a member of the GBOC!!

Cheers, Jim

Now that is cool and different for a box. Nice work. I am a big fan of Oreo so no doubt I’d like it.
