A friend gave me a live edge burl which he thought was Caroline Cherry, it was very heavy and big. Never having done a live edge let alone a piece so big I thought about it for awhile. Finally cut it down into a smaller size and started turning. It was very wet inside so I thought I would turn down to a small size then let dry. Well it of course cracked and warped. So after trying different options to rehydrate it I just gave up and turned what I could. The finished it off using the ArborTech ball gouge. It has 6 coats of lacquer on it.
