This is my latest project off the lathe. It turned out beautifully, but gave me a whole bunch of problems with the CA finish for some reason. I had to apply the CA, sand and polish 3 times before I achieved a consistent color and shine. It was the first time I had any issues with it giving me a dull, discolored finish in some areas and a deep rich color and shiny finish in others. But in the end it came out great.

-Kit from Woodcraft
-Bloodwood blank

Note: I dislike the mechanism of the kit. I want the mechanism to work with ease. I made two of these pens and in both instances it is very difficult to get the cartridge to move without having to hold the collar. I will not be making these for sale again. Made two as a request and will not make any more.

Your pen looks great. Glad you told me about the Woodcraft pen kit, I’ll be sure to avoid it. Thanks for inspiring
