So when I was younger, my siblings and cousins all had an old grainery in the pasture that we developed into a clubhouse. This is one of our fondest memories from our childhood, everyone being older than 18 now. Recently my dad and I went to see it and decided it was time for it to be torn down. Not wanting to simply torch everything, I went in and took a few things, two of the items being the window pane and the door. It was my two cousin’s 21st ad 23rd birthdays coming up so I decided to head out to the shop again.

I came up with a spur of the moment idea and began working on what are now keepsake boxes made of the old clubhouse lumber. They both have glass inserts from the window in them on the lid. Very enjoyable to make, especially with the sentimental value to them. Thanks for reading.

P.S they both loved the presents.

perfect. So meaningful and interesting use of the old wood. Wish the photo wasn’t so cloudy…
