Haven’t posted for some time but found the segments for this Mobius Ribbon hidden away and decided to massacre it by carving each 12 divisions before starting the task of trying to remember how it went together. The 2 1/2 bowls and 10 1/4 bowls are cut on the scrollsaw using the bowl from a board method, there are 5 layers of 1/2” plywood in each section. The figures are cut into each section on the scrollsaw, finished with the Dremel, sanded before assembling. To Shipwright, I used Hide Glue on the lot and agree with you that it makes life easier. The figures are an assortment of dogs, the finish is a coat of poly.

Found a great local market for pens and have been flat out keeping up stock for the weekly markets.

I’m trying to get a handle on this beautiful design but it’s too advanced for me. This would make anyone a dog lover. Well done Bob.

That is an awesome piece of work I have been playing with various shapes to try and make strange curves that are enhanced by grain patterns using the scroll saw
Where did u get the pattern for the strip not sure I’m up to adding the figures yet but would love to try
Again in complete awe at that excellent

Boy this a bit of a head twister Bob, I can understand your comment on taking 5 to figure out how it goes together.

Thanks all for your comments. Must get back into action, pens have taken over my life. Sold out of three lots of pens at today’s market, bolt action and bullet pens are big sellers and all types of fountain pens are gone. Need some of your elves to help me out Jim.
