Last year I made a little bird bandsaw box for a 5 y/o girl. Thanks, Donna Menke!

She liked it right away, and asked if I could make a cupcake box. I could not say no.

I put a glue up between centers to get the shape, then put it in a chuck to hollow it out and cut flutes along the length.

The top was turned, parted off and then carved with hand tools.

I found some fake sprinkles, that’s what they are called, on Etsy. They are plastic.

Acrylic paint and rattle can spray poly. 4” tall x 3 and 1/2” wide. Walnut and basswood

My first thought was “wait a minute – this isn’t the baking site”. Had me fooled for a bit! Nice work.

Ooohhhh man, the perfect dessert after one of Hairy’s legendary wooden hamburgers!! A job well done, sir!

It’s amazing and yet…I feel like this could somehow end up being a big disappointment, depending upon the expectations of the recipient :p

Really cool! And yeah, I definitely thought someone was messing around and posing the wrong pics from the thumbnail.
