Hollow vessel from scraps

I’m new to wood turning and wanted to try a hollow vessel without wasting good wood since I didn’t have a clue. I glued up some sapele, hickory and two pieces of walnut that was half sapwood and came up with this. It’s too bottom heavy to me but I can always do another one…
Thanks for looking,
Chris

Nicely done.

Even better because of being a “rescue” too.

I don’t think it’s bottom heavy at all. It’s very interesting. Nicely done.

That’s pretty good for your first hollow form.

You have some impressive scraps – such large vaste pieces I don’t consider as scraps at all – great work on that bowl – I like the unusual shape and it’s finish.
