I have built about 11 of these doll cradles. The original design was shared as Lauren’s Cradle on

This cradle is modeled after a cradle design called “Lauren’s Doll Cradle” by R. Fritz. The design was modified to have 5/8” thick materials and a cradle size of 21“ x 9” to allow for larger dolls. All joints use floating mortise and tenon construction (Festool Dominos). There are no metal parts used in the cradle. Hardwoods used are Cherry and Black Walnut. The spindles are Cherry as well. The head, footboard and base are resawn and book matched Cherry. The piece has no metal fasteners and is finished with 3 coats of Poly over all natural wood.

Made 3 for my grand daughters and 8 for other people.
