Fooling around with my new to me lathe. Had a small piece of eastern red cedar with no real set plans for it. This is the bottom half. As you can see, I still have much to learn about finishing. lol

I really like turning and can’t wait to get more hours practicing under my belt.

Beautiful bowl and grain. Red Cedar is one of my favorite looking woods.

That sure is a different colour than the Cedar I turn, nice job!

Unfortunately, I lost the nice red color when I put that poly on it. I was hoping to put on a clear coat that wouldn’t darken it.
