Hi, This is a quarter sawn white oak door bell cover i just made. It is the 1st item I have made from a dead tree my neighbor had taken down and gave to me. It has taken about a year to dry. The stain is General Finishes light brown. The finish is satin poly. I find it quite amazing to go from tree to finished item.

You got that rich color from General Finishes Light Brown? Wow, nice project and a great looking finish.
I dry my own lumber and agree with you, there is something quite satisfying about going from green lumber all the way to a finished piece.
