A Butler’s Chest. The top drawer pulls out and folds down to reveal a workspace with 2 small drawers and letter storage.
Primary: Mahogany
Secondary: Ambrosia maple
Baltic birch drawer bottoms
Cock-beaded drawers, quadrant hinges for the top drawer, Hepplewhite-style hardware, 4+ coats of Ruby shellac
Many thanks to Alan Turner for his assistance and instruction.

You did a beautiful job on your chest. The construction looks excellent along with the finish. Very much an heirloom piece for generations to come. Thanks for inspiring

Truly excellent—did you draw up the plans yourself, or did you buy them? Or just measured a model?

That’s a great looking butler’s chest—I love the pull-down drawer and workspace! I’m sure you’ll get a lot of enjoyment from this chest!
