Hello Everyone,

I have been actively enjoying your creativity and projects for a couple of years. I decided it was time to start contributing myself. I just finished this sewing table as an Easter/Valentines day present. The inlay work took me well past Valentine’s Day. Fortunately my wife was excited enough to be patient with me. My main goal was to make sure all of her friends were absolutely jealous of her sewing table. Thanks for checking it out.

I am first and foremost a quilter, followed closely by machine embroidery. LOVE your sewing desk! Well done!

Hmmm. That should be worth at least a new table saw (or equivalent shop power tools) in the eyes of your wife.

Did you paint the white tops or is formica/melamine?

Thank you for the kind words everyone. The top is made with melamine. My wife was pretty hard on the surface of her table, so I hope this will be more durable for her. I did get some new tools out of it too. :) A new router with multiple bases, a newer bandsaw, and she let me buy all of the wood from a cabinet shop that was closing. That made my day for sure! Lots of new projects to come as a result too.

Yes! I can see how functional that table will be. The extra touches you added take it over the top. Looks like a great project that will be used for years to come.
Nice work!
