Awhile back a co-worker knew that I worked with wood. Her granddaughter had one of the cardboard plastic covered Barbie case’s. She asked if I would make her a replacement out of wood. So this is what I came up with The wood I used is basswood I purchased from Hobby Lobby. All pieces were glued together. The inside I provided move to store Barbie dolls and drawers for clothes and accessories plus a hanging rod. This box may be a bit heavier, but is unique.

I might add that the letters are stick-on type. The person I made this for had added those.

What a neat project! The clothes hanging rod and drawers are great features. How did you make the front design and lettering?

Tom, this should do nicely and will keep her dolls and dolls’ clothes nice for the next generation to use as well. Cute project and good work. Keep boxing and keep posting. Hope the water isn’t too high near you.

This is a very nice case and will keep all of the various Barbie doll items together and that will make the kids so happy.
