The bank where I work (FNB) asked me to make medal displays for 30 departments as part of a compliance programme. The design features a hinged top section which clasps to the side and holds the medal ribbons in place. I was reminded how its one thing to make a single woodworking project fairly well, but its quite different and often difficult to replicate a good enough standard multiple times.

Whenever you design something for mass production its important to think about the actual individual processes that will go into each copy. Something that may work after trial and error on the prototype may not work, or take too long if you have to do it 30 times! I was reminded of this quite often on this project but I was quite pleased with the end result, and so was the bank :-)
