Made these rails to display artwork. (Originally for a gallery show, but then I brought them home and put em up in my room…)
The rail bodies are made from cherry plywood, and the endcaps are Spanish cedar. I made three of them… about 6,5,3 feet long. The rails are sized so that the gaps between the pictures themselves are equal to the “matte” area of the frame.
The photos are ink-jet printed and then spray mounted onto hardboard—I made a fenestrated template to guide both the glue and the paper into the right spot. It’s a super cheap and semi-stylish way to display them.
