These were my 2008 Christmas gifts. The boxes were for the ladies, there were clocks for girls and for boys and three dimensional tic tac toe games for the larger boys. They were made from project left overs – the boy clocks were glue ups of various colours of wood, the girl clocks were made from lacewood and curley maple, the games were cherry, brass and birch and the boxes were variously quilted maple, lacewood and quilted makore – all were finished in oil.

Man, getting xmas shopping done early, I should be so smart. Last xmas I was hurrying so fast 2 days before xmas I cut off the end of my right ring finger. Just from hurrying. Keep doing the smart thing, by the way, they are all cool gifts.

So nice, but how do you know where I live?
You have a lucky family.

Where do you get those little yellow stands that the boxes are sitting on, I’m guessing for finishing purposes, and what are they called?

I bought mine from Lee Valley and they are called painters pyramids. Rockler has something similar I believe.

I especially like the boxes! But the other gifts look nice. I first thought you had taken care of this Christmas already and I was ready to be feeling bad that I hadn’t even begun my planning, but since you are just finishing 2008, I feel better!!
