Its “March Mallets” at the NJ Woodturners so I’m making a few different styles. Good Ole Jimmy DiResta on YouTube was the inspiration for this one. Took about 3 hours to make. Got the brass rings on line. Finished with Formbys Boiled Linseed Oil.

Great weight and feel to this simple mallet. Wish I had something large enough to hit with it. Would be great for tapping pegs into timber frames. Will most likely use it for large chisel work, perhaps cracking walnuts! :-)

If you want to see how its built, Check Jimmy DiResta, mallets build.

Hope you like it.

PS, Does anyone know how to “rotate uploaded photos” in this program??

That’s Sweet! Love those brass rings!

I usually use a photo editor and rotate before uploading
