I took a class at woodcraft to learn to make these. Pete, the instructor, made it easy. All four of the students went home with a prized possession. Made this one months later. Man do I miss Pete :-)

Looks sharp – Every Texan I know has 2 things hanging in their house. A star and a wooden cut out of the state of Texas. Well done.

What wood did you use for the outline?

Woods are Mahogany, Walnut and Maple.
