My wife needed a box to keep her winter socks in. One that would give them a fresh scent. I chose Cedar, with Cedar splines, and a nice easy handle to lift the lid. I finished the outside of the box with Minwax Tung Oil Finish and Minwax Gloss poly, but didn’t finish the inside. This way I could lightly sand the inside of the box each spring and it bring back the Cedar aroma.

Thanks for your time, Take Care, Joe

Joe, socks on fox, socks in box. Fox’s sockes in Joe’s boxes. Dr. Seuss would be so proud of this project. Though to be honest I don’t think I take the chance and weaponize my wife with a handle like this. I hope you have the handle firmly attached. This is a great box with a solid purpose and a really fun look. I like the creativity you have shown in this.

These are also the best photos I have seen you do. They do a great job of showing your work. Way to go on progressing on that front as well. Keep boxing and keep posting.

I’m with Boxguy on wife using this as a weapon. I occasionally irritate the wife enough for her to use it on me. It is a very nice box and design. Cedar is always been one of my favorite woods for show. Excellent job !!!

Thanks you guys, I guess I made that handle as a leap of faith. My wife has had good cause to crown me many times, thats for sure, but has seen fit to spare me so far. She does like the handle, her fingers slip into the rings easily. She saids shel likes me too, although she makes sure the life insurance is paid promptly the 1st of each month.
