What a cool thing for them! This will be one of those things that they remember all their lives that their dad made for them. It is really great!

The joystick actually moves the pulleys! That's awesome; those boys are gonna grow up wanting to be pilots and bombardiers… Or commercial jetliner captains! Mount the guns! :p

That is fantastic. I love the fact that it actually is controlled by the stick. I want to build one. Though I may go for a single wing design…. maybe a Hellcat or Spitfire. Very cool design. Thanks for sharing and well done.

Anyone who wants to build one, the plans can be ordered through www.woodcraftplans.com .
I'm sure also they can be gotten in other place. The plans are U-Build plans.
The plans are easy to follow and gives instructions on how to hook up the pulley system.
I've already made plans that I've been telling my older kids. One day when I have grandkids, I'm going to build them one of these. On each wing, I've got plans for a rubber band Gatlin gun that shoots like 200 rubber bands off in less than thrity seconds. I'm only going to build this though when it can be at their house and not mine.

That is a great plane William! Thanks for posting the link to the plans, I am sure there are a lot of LJ's that would love to build this for a special child.

William, that's a great substitute for the regular old swing set gig. What a creative thing for you to come up with. Very ingenious. Good work!!!

That looks like fun! I'd love to give that a try. Can we add pedals connected to the propeller??

David, unfortunately I have no idea where to get these plans now. I had a reader of my blog that was trying to find these plans as well. I tried to find them from several sites where I know they were once available, and all have discontinued. So I'm sorry I can't be more help on this one.
On a related note, if you (or anyone else) does happen to successfully order these plans from anyone, please let me know so I can relay the information to others.
