This is a variation of Buxguy’s tissue box. Made slightly smaller, not by forethought, I must admit, with a 1/4 ” plywood bottom instead of a top and wider Maple splines. The tissue box fits securely and does not lift up each time you take a tissue.

The wood is “Bubinga” bought on sale at Woodcraft for around 7 dollars, [36’” long 4” wide by 3/4”]. A 45 degree bevel was used on the top sides. The corners are rounded on the belt sander. Sanding starts at 80 grit and continues 400 grit. Two coats of Minwax Tung Oil Finish are applied and two coats of Satin Minwax hand rubbed poly. A light rubbing with 0000 steal wool is used between coats. Makes a nice gift, shows you care enough to give of yourself. Although I must say my wife prefers Boxguys design.

Thanks for stopping by. Take Care, Joe
