Woodworking Club Bird House Day

Today we had our clubs bird house day for kids. We had a total of 54 kids today. We divide them into groups of four and rotate them to workstations explaining safety and what each machine does. After the workstations we take the kids to the meeting room where they assemble the bird house. The bird house is personalized by woodburning their name on the bird house. The last thing they get cookies as a treat. The kids loved building the houses. We had several young ladies participate. Each kid always said thank you when they were leaving.

Wow! This is so great to see! I love seeing the youngsters involved in woodworking. I see lots of happy faces! This project will also get them out of house and lean more about nature. Super project! Congratulations; nice work everyone!
