Recipe box for a friend

I made this box for a good friend. I used oak and cherry. Thought I would try the splined miter. I chamfered all of the edges also. The finish is just wipe on poly.

Chuck, looks like you have perfected the things you need to do to build a great box. I like the layed up sides, corner splines, attached top, nice finish, branded ID, use of wood colors, and functionality of the box. Nice work. I find that rounded corners are easier to sand than chamfered corners, but I like the look of your box. Keep boxing and keep posting.

Very good looking recipe box!
I too like the corner splines as they really add to the box!
