interested in the construction method. is it just veneer over a core? how did you form the curves

Wow! That’s a big job! If we had that many clamps we could sell them and retire. Oops! We ARE retired.

F3rr3t, We cut the bar top on the CNC out of combo core ( maple veneer on the outside 1/8” of mdf then plywood then mdf then veneer) You buy it that way. It comes in 4×8 sheets 3/4” thick. The mdf layer gives you a smooth finish, no grain. then I took the strips and clamped them to the shape of the bar.

Honestly, I don’t think he has enough clamps! ;-)

What kind of establishment is getting this bar? Upscale? Swanky?

That is one large project! Do you use one of those laser measuring devices I’ve seen on Homes by Holmes?
It’s pretty complicated to lay that out.

RonPeters, This bar is going to Splitsville in West Virginia. No sir we did not use a digitizer, I do have one it’s 14’ long. The company will send us a digital file or we will go there and make a template. If they send a digital file we use Auto cad or Rino to make a tool path to cut it on a CNC.
