Speechless on how my cutting board turned out. I wanted a simple pattern and made it look very nice. Adding a bit of walnut to give it that darker shades of wood was a nice touch for me. We glued our boards of scrap together then sanded them down until they were smooth. Then we slathered our boards in some mineral happy with the way in turned out :)

It’s great to see the next generation learning the skills needed for wood working. I ‘ve been enjoying wood working since I was in the 7th grade and took my first Industrial arts Class (wood Class). I am retired now and build something about every day. I have made a few cutting boards and the one you made looks great. The great thing about end-grain boards is the knife doesn’t cut up the board because the end-grain hides the knife marks. I look forward to see future post of your work.
