I made this beautiful end grain cutting board in my high school woods was made with walnut and white birch wood. I used a router to rout the edges and make a handle. I finished it with about 6 coats of mineral oil.

It’s great to see the next generation learning the skills needed for wood working. I ‘ve been enjoying wood working since I was in the 7th grade and took my first Industrial arts Class (wood Class). I am retired now and build something about every day. I have made a few cutting boards and the one you made looks great. The great thing about end-grain boards is the knife doesn’t cut up the board because the end-grain hides the knife marks. I look forward to see future post of your work.
