One of my first turning projects –
My father in laws friend guided & taught me

We made these edger tools from a cherry branch

They are used to finish off the edge of a piece of leather like a belt / name tag – kind of like knocking off any burrs that remain after cutting the leather.

Love how only the hard core of the cherry branch makes up most of several edgers. The grain pattern is amazing.

With only a couple of these tools i needed more for teaching the scouts. By making them I saved about $35 which is a big deal when your annual workshop budget is about $60 !
