Second batch of pieces made for a friend redoing a boat. Made these out of Sapele, and finished with 4 coats of marine varnish on both front and back of all pieces. This lot was mostly bow and console trim, a dash board and a small door and frame. Found the sapele fairly easy to work, and looked great when finished. Will try and get some pictures of the boat when he finishes. Thanks for looking, Jeff

Nice work. Better to have a friend with a boat than a boat.

Sapale was an outstanding choice – properties of mahogany without the weight. And personally, I use it a lot in guitars, quite tonal, to be honest, and love the light weight. Dents a bit easy, though.

What is it they say…Best two days of your life: Day you buy the boat, and the day you sell the boat?
