This is a thread keeper as requested by my wife for a Christmas present. It’s made of 5/4 cherry, the shelves were resawn from the 5/4 boards and mounted at an 18 degree slant toward the front of the cabinet with a ledge built in to the front face. Tempered glass in the door and a chocolate cherry stain. About 5 coats of oil/urethane and a quick wax job. My wife is a dark wood nut and wanted the cherry to match the cabinets in her sewing room. Lessons learned on this one and I figure as long as I keep learning I’ll remain humble in my woodworking endeavors.
