This coat hook is made from two-by lumber I had in the garage. Its design was taken from similar coat hooks my wife found on Pinterest. The ends are 2×4 pine and the rest is from a 2×6 that I resawed and planed down to 1/2 inch thickness. The hooks are antique schoolhouse hooks purchased from a local antique dealer. Stain is English Chestnut with satin finish Minwax Polyurethane from the “rattle can”. I would say that I have very little experience applying a spray finish. I am proud that I was able to spray 4 coats without any runs, sags, orange peel or dust.

This is the prettiest 2x lumber I think I’ve ever seen. Love those rattle cans for quick finishing…
