VCG fir tool board

Here are the pictures of the new tool board that I made. This is a direct make from Dan Faia’s FWW HANDTOOLS issue. I was in desperate need of a tool board when I saw his article, so made it.
The material used is vertical grain Doug fir that I salvaged out of a single board for the sides and top. The top is connected by dovetail joints. The bottom stretcher is mortise and tenon. The back is other fir flooring that I also salvaged from a firewood bin. The shelf was the old piece purchased and it is VCG fir as well.

There are two coats of finish on it now.
You can also see the crack that I repaired with superglue. That crack was the reason it got thrown out I think.

I also added a picture of tools added, although placement still to finalized.
