This abstract statue I made for a friend of mine. It’s made from walnut, height 26 inch (65 cm) without a pedestal, sanded to 400, cover – bee wax.

Jiri ~ I don’t have a name suggestion, but it reminds me of Easter Island for some reason. You know, those tall stone carvings with personality. I like your sculpture.
-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)

Beautiful sculpture, I would name it Dec,21, 2012, That’s when the Mayan calender ends.

Thanks for your comments and a name suggestion. When I was working on this thing I didn’t thing about Easter Island nor Mayan civilisation. I had an interesting piece of wood, removed bad parts, sanded it and polished and added the pedestal.

Jiri, to me it looks like a person looking toward the heavens with their mouth agape, unable to believe what they are seeing. Very interesting piece. I really like it.
