A while back I was asked to make 30 centerpieces. This is the design I came up with. It’s a combination of 2” Pvc pipe, pine, and plywood. It took two afternoons to complete the construction aspect of them. I applied primer and the customer applied the finish coats. All in all I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.

Those are really neat centerpieces. With the PVC pipe, do you put water in them to keep the floweres fresh?

They were actually fake flowers. But I suppose it could work with fresh flowers that are in the green spongy stuff (not sure what its proper name is) which is moistened.

Have your say...
