This box started out as a quick and fast throw together project and it actually went together pretty well, unlike some of my other boxes. I really like the lid on this one , the shape and it adds a different look to the box. I will be trying more with this shape. It is 9 1/2×5 1/2×4 1/2 and the end caps are redwood ,the front back and bottom is some of my bug eaten oak , lid is maple with a manzinata burl lift. Thanks for looking.
And as always leave a comment or question.

Paul, That’s one of the prettiest boxes I’ve seen. Between the contrast of your woods and the shape of your ends (legs) and the top. Great design, Great craftsmanship and a Great finish! Beautiful combination all the way around.

Really pretty. The sides and top look like they are made of some kind of stone!!

Thanks everyone for the positive feed back . This is the first box in a while that I have liked as soon as I was done. I usually like a few things at first then grow to like the whole box.

Pretty clean lines for you. More traditional from your other styles. Looks great! Nice design, beautiful wood well crafted, excellent!
