Tea Cup Holder

It was Christmas time (“make gifts” time) and I got nice 3.5” wide cherry board
I also promise (LJ-lcwood ) to make a clone

The result is above.

Base is laminated to make it wider and more stable – the total height is 19”.
Spoon holder is three glued layers of the same board. Two 1” holes drilled with forstner bit.
The “molding” around spoons holder is afterthought. I did not like how it looks without.
Finishing is semi-gloss fast drying lacquer from a rattle can. I did not have time for anything else.

The teacup set and spoons are from Amazon.

The gift was well-received and apple pie was my reward.
PS. Smaller version (espresso cups set) is in work now.

Thank you, Rick.

I am pleased with the result myself so I decided to post it. The level of projects here is intimidating…
