Wine Flights for a friend

Purple heart and zebra wood wine flights I made for friends who own a boutique olive oil and wine shop. Embossed SC palm and crescent to match their logo. I really wanted to keep these for myself. I realize the simplicity of these is far below what others here are capable of; however, the majority of my woodworking is used to create base items that will be turned into artwork. As it is, the “woodworking” aspect of my art is rarely showcased.

Ok, I’ll bite … what is a wine flight other than a board with some counter bored holes in it ? what would you use it for?? ... it’s a curious mind thing …
But a nice job on them any way.

LOL you guys hit the nail right on the head. These are nothing more than appropriately-sized, glass-smooth boards with ergonomic grips and calibrated holes bored partially through in a distinct pattern. Myself, I drink one bottle at a time out of a red solo cup – glass shatters when I drop it. Some folks, apparently, have fancy parties where multiple bottles are opened and, get this, sipped gently! The host will offer his or her guest a (giggle) small glass of wine on this board.
And my friends own a wine shop. They do tastings using these flights. Their previous hardware was ugly so I made them a red wine (purple heart) and white wine (zebra wood) version with their logo. That part was the biggest pain in the buttocks….

I don’t think I would need one of these personally but you did a nice job on these and I like the wood that you used. Nice work!
