I really enjoyed this project alot. Definitely not the fanciest project out there, but I’m really proud of it. I started out with a log about 4” in diameter. I then sliced it up on the TS with a homemade jig. Then after planing and jointing the boards down, I cut out 3 pieces to glue together.

I still need to decide on a finish for it, but right now I’m enjoying the smell of the cedar.

If I had to critique myself, I would say I left it about 1/32 too short as the business cards stick up out of the top by a hair. I made it for my wife, so we’ll see if she enjoys it or not.

Thanks for looking and I welcome any comments.

I like small crafty projects too. I’ve been meaning to make a wooden business card holder for myself but haven’t gotten to that point yet. When you start from a log it makes it extra special.
