2 for next Christmas. For the breadmaker in the family.
The first is for cutting homemade bread into 1/2” slices. The knife is held captive in the slot.
8 and 1/2” x 10” x 7/8” thick. QSWO with Watco Danish oil
The 2nd is from scraps. 12” x 18” x 1 and 3/8” thick. Mineral oil and wax.
Each comes with a new bread knife.
The 1st one is real easy to make. Made from two 8” x 10” pieces. I cut dadoes first, then cut 1/8” slots on the router table in several passes between stops. I’m tempted to make 1 for me.

Nicely done!
Another one I will have to ‘creatively acquire’. Steal is such a negative term. ;)

very nice bread board – you know there’s 100 guys heading to the wood shop right now and as soon as I finish this, that’s where I’m going
Just need to find an outlet for the bread knife

Thank you all!
I bought 1 of these from ebay for the cutting board. I saw it get a good review on a PBS show.

I got this for the slicer. I ordered it on Jan. 4, it was on my front porch Jan 5.
