From the better late than never department!
I’ve been out of the shop for over a year as I work on my Master’s Degree so it was good to get a break and get back to this project.
This is the Miter Saw station that was featured in the Aug/Sept 2013 Woodcraft magazine. I was fun to build and I’ve already enjoyed having a dedicated workstation to house my saw.
My modifications included a “dust hood” that is covered with 1/4” clear plastic sheeting to help keep the extra dust inside the station. Additional modification was a 4” dust port and dust trap below the saw and out the back of the stand so that I could connect my dust collector to it.
Still need to add a measuring tape strip to each of the wings but that is a project for a different day.

The miter saw station looks great, Dan!
Next project could be a nice Frame for your Diploma!

Nice miter saw station. This is on my list for 2018.
I agree with Tom, get that diploma and build a frame.
