A chest that will be auctioned off at the Boise Basque Festival. I started out making a regular chest and thought maybe I would make it a wine chest. The reclaimed wood is from a honey locust tree saved from the landfill. The symbol is a Basque Lauburu made from Turquoise inlay on walnut. There is also a secret compartment which I will fill with those gold chocolate coins to entice the bidders.

I enjoy donating handmade items to worthy causes and I encourage all you lumberjocks to dust off those tools and donate something to your favorite charity. Besides maybe your spouse will let you buy that drum sander you always wanted to make your project. Size 22 long x 13 deep x 16 high

Hey now that is Nice! Great Job!
I looked at some of your other post and they all look great also.
I love the way you save lumber and use what other wise would be scrap.
Thanks for sharing and keep it up.
