This is rather simple table for my son’s bedroom. He wanted to replace the particle board computer table he uses for his Xbox and computer gaming. That thing was vintage 1995 anyway. He was very specific about the height and size of the surface. He knew what he wanted! The legs and rails are built from poplar. The top is 100+ year old oak barn board. I planed the boards down to smooth the surface and filled the nail holes and voids. There’s a lot of personality/history in that surface! The legs and rails are painted black to add some contrast. The finish is three coats of polyurethane.

Very good looking project. I agree that the black adds appealing contrast. Nice work!

That is an awesome table. Great combination of wood and leg color. Well done.
