One of our local award-winning family photographers is a friend of mine and requested a doll bed for posing infants on. This is what we came up with and I built it out of red oak and stained it with Golden Oak. Still going to seal it with a few coats of poly before she gets it next week. She is going to provide the mattress so not sure what it is going to look like completed.
Tested it to 30 lbs so we are confident no infant is going to come crashing down :)

I think I just found part of my daughters next b-day gift. Thanks for the inspiration.
