First ever attempt at pyrography (except the one-hour practice board I did the day before). Small gift box for my wife’s bracelet I bought her for Christmas.
I used an inexpensive Walnut Hollow tool. I did not bother shading or anything yet since I was working on this Christmas Eve and did not want to take a chance of messing up. As long as it looked like a bird I was happy.
The box itself is unremarkable. Regular miter joints. The bottom is Cherry and lid is Hard Maple. I flocked the inside.
I wanted to concentrate on the lid.
I got pyrography bug and just ordered a Colwood burning kit with 9 pens.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. The only way I can learn.
