This is my frist major project I built. I did build a flat wall clock and lamp back in wood shop in jr. high about 15 years ago. But we needed a dinning table for our new house. I built all out of oak. I had no real clue of what I was doing. I was just making things up as I want. It is 7ft long with a 2ft leaf to make it 9ft long and 3 1/2ft wide. The came from an REI that was doing a remodel and they were planning on throwing it all away. I had to strip the old finish off of all of the boards and pull all of the nails before I started. I finished this just in time for our first thanksgiving in the house. We had 14 people around the table and it held up fine and has continued to held up to many meals over the last 3 years..
