New keepsake box commissioned by a friend for his wife. Cherry with accents of maple, purpleheart and walnut. Also added some brass feet and matching handle. Picture doesn’t show well but it’s lined with a deep wine colored velour. First attempt at vertical spline. Learned some things there. Stop hinges from Rockler (their brand). Always prefer Brusso but Rockler’s products have proven to be quite nice.

Great looking box! I like the wood combo you chose, and your use of the hidden splines —always a good idea to reinforce miter joints. I’m sure his wife will love it!
