One mo' oak box

Another Oak box from the salvaged katrina wood. I prefer the quarter sawn oak but I have some of the plain sawn also and the darkened oak looks nice..almost like it is stained…but it only has one coat of boiled linseed oil so far. The handle is Leopardwood.

Thats a great box! I love the look of the grain in that wood.

Nice box, Greg. Could call it your “Hooter’s Box” ;-)) The oak looks real nice and it is good that someone is getting some use out of the destruction that Katrina left behind. As for the knob, I think I’ll leave that alone!
