Love = Heart

Growing up in Denmark, there was somebody that would cut out hearts from plywood. He would paint them red and then letter them with slogans. Drive safely, Love your neighbor, and hug your kid are a few that come to mind.

These signs were illegally nailed to lightposts, but nobody cared.

My little rain gauge holder is a tribute to this old Dane showing love and kindness on the streets of Denmark.

The world could use a little more of what that old Dane brought to it!

Now that’s an idea that could help a lot these days. The hearts, not the rain gauge. ;)

Sorry, I really should have added that your way of mounting your rain gauge is very practical. Both easy to read, and easy to empty. To me, the addition of the heart is a bonus. Nice tribute.
